The Stamped Boss Carburetor Model MT76A fit the Harley Topper
A - AU Models
From 1959 to 1962 for sure.
But did the same Carburetor fit from 1963 to 1964?
At this time it is believed to be true.
As we research more we will post the information.
and if you have any information to the fact along with
an original scooter that might have the MT76A email us.
We most certainly would love to hear from you should you
have an NOS in the Box MT76A with a date on it.

At this time with the help of many Topper members who have helped
in the search for the Tillotson Carburetor fitment
of the 1961 to 1965 Harley Topper scooter AH.
It has been concluded that the Tillotson Carburetors during this period both
look alike externally somewhat
But have minor differences internally and major differences externally.
For One: Notice the differences
in the carburetor throttle shaft.
The MD119A Throttle shaft goes
completely through the carburetor body.
The MD119B Throttle shaft stops
from going all the way through the carburetor body
and does not have the separate on the opposite side, stop lever # 40
as pictured below in the MD119A
photo.
But the MD119B has a stop lever
on the same side along side the Throttle lever.
Listed below are the results of the findings
The Tillotson Carburetor Stamped on the Boss with the Number:
# MD-119A fit the AH Topper from 1961 to 1963
part number 27143-61
.... ( Fits up-to Engine Number: 63AH-1693 )
The Tillotson Carburetor Stamped on the Boss with the Number:
# MD-119B fit the AH Topper from 1963 to 1965
part number: 27143-63
...( Fits on models after Engine Number: 63AH-1693
)
Should you have any in site to the exact start engine numbers in 1961 with the
MD-119A or the exact start period
( SOLVED in 1963 with
the MD-119B SOLVED) email
us.
So far it has been excellent to have so many email with information in the search
for the carburetor
research facts.
Also let it be noted: that the
MD-119B was used on the servi-car from 1966 to 1973 as well.
